Founded in 1936 by Mr Charles Noskwith, Charnos initially manufactured fine gauge, fully fashioned stockings at Ilkeston in Derbyshire. Today, the company is recognised as one of the main UK hosiery brands, and is part of the same group as Levante and Jonathan Aston.
Although the fully fashioned stockings are sadly no longer made (and the machines were sold to Eleganti), Charnos still has cutting edge products, from ultra sheer ranges to regular magnificent fashion lines.
