If you're reading this, it looks like you're considering placing an order. Many thanks! We're running out of biscuits so it would be a big help… Here are a few things you might like to know:

  • All orders are sent in plain packaging. There is no mention of the shop or site on the outside. The return address is just listed as Pure Fiction Media. If you are sending the order to someone as a gift and do not want us to include the invoice, please let us know via the comments box on the order form.
  • We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Maestro (formerly Switch), Solo, Delta and JCB cards, as well as PayPal. If you don't have one of those, we can also accept orders by cheque or in person at the warehouse. Details below!
  • Prices include VAT (sales tax) for customers in the UK and EC. VAT is not charged unless you live in the UK/EC.
  • Usually orders are dispatched on the day of receipt, or the following day if they come in after the post has gone. Typical delivery times are:

UK: next day or the day after
    Europe: three-four working days
    US: about five working days
Rest of World: about five-seven working days

Please note: during exceptionally busy times it can take a day or two longer. If your order is urgent please let us know! Special Delivery parcels are always given priority in the dispatch department.

  • Our delivery charges are hopefully the lowest you'll find anywhere. Some sites bizarrely charge more the more you spend. Be careful out there! Standard postage charges are automatically added at the checkout as follows:

UK (first class): £1.85 per order
Europe (air mail): £2.95 per order
US and rest of the world (air mail): £3.95 per order

There are several express/priority options. In the UK, choosing the Recorded Delivery option guarantees express passage through the dispatch department and means the postie will ask you for a signature on delivery. Special Delivery is similar, but guarantees delivery the day after the parcel is posted. Outside the UK we offer an express airmail signed for service that gives a tracking number and should hopefully save a day off the transit time.

Occasionally, for large orders, we will send your parcel by a secure courier service, eg Interlink Express. If you have any specific delivery requirements please let us know.

  • Although we attempt to deliver everything as quickly as we can, please allow 28 days just in case. Worst case scenario. If you live in a different country and need an order particularly urgently it may be possible to arrange express courier delivery at an extra charge. Please email first though to confirm everything you want is in stock! Please email customercare@tightsandmore.com if you are interested in that kind of thing.
  • Depending on where you live, you may be required to pay additional import duty on the products you order. If that's the case your postman will probably wake you up with a cheeky grin and a request for cash. It is your responsibility to pay this. I would, if I could, but I don't know your postman.
  • Security information

Your credit card will be discreetly billed as Pure Fiction Media SHQ. Pure Fiction Media Ltd is the name of our registered company. Some sites manually process your credit card details themselves and claim it to be a virtue. However, as your security is our number one concern, all transactions are processed on our behalf - and yours - by the encrypted servers of Secure Trading.

Credit card details you submit are protected by 128-bit SSL encryption between your PC and the server. Rest assured, no expense is spared where security is concerned.

Any information you supply as part of the ordering process is kept securely. No information is ever shared with third parties. We are registered under the Data Protection Act - registration number Z5684653. If you elect to join our mailing list for shop and site updates, you will get the occasional email from us to inform you about updates to the shop or site. And that's it. No spam. No third party advertising. No unsolicited offers. No viruses. In fact nothing at all except one or two updates per month with the earliest news about new developments.

    Alternative payment and delivery methods

Although we employ state of the art security, we know not everybody wants to order over the web, and it's not always convenient to pay by credit card or have parcels delivered to your home or office. Consequently we've assembled a large range of alternative ways of ordering from Tights And More.

    Payment by cheque

You can pay by cheque/international money order/postal order (UK currency), made payable to Pure Fiction Media Ltd. Simply send your order and payment to us at:

    Tights And More
    23 Woodside Industrial Park
    Letchworth
    Hertfordshire
    SG6 1LA
    United Kingdom

Don't forget to include your delivery address!

    Payment by bank transfer

This one's easy as well. Email your order to customercare@tightsandmore.com and we'll send you our bank details. You can then ask your bank (anywhere in the world) to transfer the payment to our account, and as soon as it arrives your order will be dispatched.

    Ordering by fax

You can fax your order, delivery address and card details (number, expiry date, issue number if appropriate) to 01462 677971 (UK) (+44 1462 677971 from outside the UK). If you have problems doing that (technology lets us down!) please call us on 01462 677970 (+44 1462 677970 outside the UK) and we'll plug it in!

    Ordering by phone

We now have four incoming voice lines, so you can now call on +44 (0)1462 677970/2/4/9 from 9am - 5.30pm. You could also try the mobile (07799 066699) outside those hours until 10pm any day of the year! Calls outside these hours will probably also be answered but you may wake us up and therefore apologies if there's a confused silence at the start of the call!

    Ordering by email

You can also place orders by email. The address is customercare@tightsandmore.com. If emailing a credit card number, you may find it more reassuring to split the number over a couple of messages for security.

Alternative delivery: collection from any post office

If it's not convenient to have your order delivered to your home or workplace, don't despair! Most post offices have a system called Poste Restante. We send your parcel to you care of your local post office, marked "Poste Restante". You then pop along at your convenience to collect it! The Poste Restante system is normally free but may vary from country to country. If in doubt please enquire at your local post office to make sure they operate the service.

    Personal collection from the warehouse

We've got a lovely new warehouse with state of the art security 24-hour security (burglars beware!), lots of hosiery, a sofa, digital TV, kettle, the works! If you'd like to visit feel free but please call first to make sure we're going to be there. The address is as above.
